She's all dressed in black, I'm all dressed up in black...
Never mind the allegations of corruption from Russia - should we not instead marvel at the election of the first goth to the head of a major European nation? That is if you discount Raffarin, and ignore the fact that the bass player in Ugly Rumours went on to roadie for Gene loves Jezebel.

President of Ukraine still wearing GL outift from Slimes the night before..

President of Ukraine wakes up late and hung over, can't find anything clean but old Neds Atomic Dustbin longsleeve, whacks it on even though the decal is a flaking and it looks a bit silly these days.

Meanwhile, while we're on life imitating art, it's Kiss of the Spider Woman. With Blake and Nova. In the Philippines.

Be glad. Even a passing knowledge of the precepts of the execrable fashion trend known as 'Gothic Lolita' is too much, trust me.

I think "OpenGL" involves going to Slimes dressed as Dawn from the NVidia GeForce demo. Striking, but chilly.

Think yourself lucky I helped write the very first version of that, and spent far too much of my life testing it against the SG version. Mind you I still knew it was Gothic Lolita.

So by the same logic that would be the Suicide Girls version of OpenGL...

See, I didn't know this either, and was vaguely expecting to see someone dressed as Green Lantern.

All I could think when I saw that first picture was "It's good that she's moved on from Ryan, I think getting out of Newport could be really good for her."

Tweed puff sleeves.

I mean seriously. Tweed. Puff. Sleeves.

It's enough to make you want to spend an evening in a sauna with Brian Cox recounting tales of general malaise from the days of the Raj in the style of Captain James T. Kirk

How about an evening spent in Croydon helping Kirsty Allsopp salt pork to the strains of variations on Van Halen by Katie Melua?

Oh, come on. Everyone knows that these day's it's pretty much mandatory for a goth to own at least one item of bright orange clothing. See also: smudgily painted bedroom walls.
