Lord. Tom Scharpling on WFMU plays Queen Bitch, and I remember all over again how good it is. How can anyone without a heart of tin not want a frock coat and bippety-boppety hat? Anyone who believes they have a bippety-boppety hat, by the way - you're fooling yourself.

Also happy - Single Again by the Fiery Furnaces. And the fact that, during the Superbowl, Animal Planet showed the Puppybowl, in which a large number of puppies were put together on a miniature football pitch and their gamboling broadcast to a grateful nation for three hours. I want to be an American now. [info]verlaine, want to swap?

Blimey, this is all very eleventh hour - I'm flying out on Monday morning, you know! Couldn't you have made the offer sooner?

Having said that, it's abundantly clear that I have Unresolved Frenchness Issues with my icon, and I'm not sure they'll play well in whatever remote midwestern farming community I finally wash up in, so I think it's for the best. Are we going to do this through the Home Office, or (my preference) some sort of technologically implausible Face/Off scenario?

I'd love to join Barbelith. As far as I can see, it needs an established member to forward my email address to... olulabelle? Can you do that? I think it's the absolute least my nationality is worth.
