Memo to me
Sometimes, when it says "dry clean only", it really means dry clean only.

Haus can help! It's the footie pajama girl in Gawker.

I'm sorry about whatever you washed that you were supposed to dry-clean, Haus. I hope it wasn't your nice shirt.

Well I do think that she's cute but I like blonde hair and glasses usually.

There are a number of things wrong with that pick. This leads me to believe I should have posted a list of 40 or so qualifications that I require in a mate, because 1.) no blondes and 2.) has never appeared on a syndicated dating show.

I'd be a bit insulted as well. I get the impression this person thinks they are "kooky" and "smart" rather than actually being either.

You like Fred from Angel! She's kooky!

Oh dear.... I can see this developing into a living Hell. And on my LJ, too. I am obscurely proud.

Fred's not so much kooky as the universal donor for geek fantasies. You can always tell a Whedon-directed episode of Angel - Fred is a) always in shot, b) always in a very short skirt and c) usually standing on something above the line of the shot.

If this is not true, it is nonetheless right. See also the way that the poor actress is at various points sandwiched into corset-n-stockings _and_ a rubber bodysuit. Bet that wasn't in the contract.

"Oh, you're a tiny, shy, reclusive science nerd... who just happpens to favour realyl short skirts. Oh, and you get dressed up as a Vegas showgirl."

"Really? Why?"

"We'll work something out"

This argument should have convinced you of at least one thing, though: Everyone should have a List. Then things like this would never, ever happen.

Simple surveillance gone horribly wrong. A scream of metal. A cave. An injured man. Oh Captain, my Captain. Precious body heat. The two suns go in. The long night. The howl of beasts. The hunt. Oh, Captain.

Yep. Could be worse.

No, really, please go ahead. The dusty old place hasn't heard the laughter of young people courting for so long...

Not the PowerBook, thank God, although it is just a matter of time. This was a Jasper Conran longsleeve, which would now be a pretty good fit for Gerald the shrew. Cheapos Debenhams, luckily.
