On reflection....
I want the whole thing to stem from a terrible misfortune when Obi-Wan turns on the cold water in the kitchen while Anakin is having a shower. More credible than lava any day.

Oh, it's all about the Obi Wan/Anakin luuuurve thing (she says hopefully)...
Anakin's completely enamoured with Obi Wan but, immature teen that he is, thinks that the best way of getting his attention is by hanging around with another older guy (Palpatine) in a "See! Other guys want me too!" type way.
Sadly Obi Wan is still smarting over the loss of his older guy (Qui Gon) to even consider that Anakin might have the hots for him, which leads the latter into doing increasly stupid things (getting married on the sly, joining the dark side) to try and get Obi Wan's attention.

So yeah, it would be plausible that the final showdown would be the pair of them duking it out in the shower with their "lightsabers".
